Nygaard picks up runner-up spot to highlight two-race weekend
Grand Forks, ND (July 28, 2020) – Wade Nygaard and the Auto Finance Super Center No.9N crew made their weekly stop to River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks this past weekend, followed by a stop at Jamestown Speedway in Jamestown, N.D. with the Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA Sprints.
Nygaard opened the two-race weekend at the Bullring with a second place finish in his heat race. He lined up third on the starting grid for the 25-lap feature and after a pair of cautions on the first lap, found himself up to the second spot. After those two early cautions, a long green flag run closed out the main event. Nygaard took the checkers in the second position to collect his sixth top five finish in eight events at River Cities.
The following day, the crew loaded up and headed to Jamestown Speedway. The No. 9N picked up a heat race win, sans brakes. He started fourth on the grid for the 25-lap feature in Jamestown which is where he would end his night.
This weekend the No.9N crew will be at Dacotah Speedway racing the Governor’s Cup. Wade has picked up two feature wins during the Governor’s cup in the last two years. Both wins have come on the final night of the weekend.
