Pierce collects 5th win of 2020 at River Cities!

By Spieker Promotions

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (July 28, 2020) – After a couple of rough outings the previous weekend, Austin Pierce returned to his winning ways last Friday night at River Cities Speedway with the Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA Sprints.

Pierce started on the pole and led all 25 laps en route to the win.

Two red flags and a caution plagued the race in the first five laps, but once the race hit a green flag stretch, Pierce checked out.

Wade Nygaard, who ran in second, had nothing for Pierce.

Pierce picked up the win by a margin of victory of 2.1 seconds over Nygaard.

“This is a brand new car we just put together this week. It’s working awesome… everything about it. My guys did a tremendous job all week in the shop. I can’t thank them enough. We were there every night this week until about 11 o’clock. I can’t thank my wife enough for allowing me to be out of the house so we can put this thing back together and be back in victory lane tonight.”

With the win, Pierce now has 32 career NOSA wins, which ties him with his friend and former competitor, Casey Mack.

“I never thought I’d get 20 wins in a Sprint Car, let alone 30 this year and now we’re at 32. Hopefully, we can get a few more before the year is over,” said Pierce.

This weekend, the NOSA Sprints head to Dacotah Speedway in Mandan, N.D. for the two-night Governor’s Cup. Pierce will be looking to claim his first career win at the speedway this Friday and Saturday night.

The entire APR crew would like to thank their sponsors for their continued support!
