Top five highlights Adams’ racing weekend

REYNOLDS, N.D. (August 11, 2020) – A two-race weekend was on the docket for the Home of Economy / Valley United Co-Op No. 20A with stops at Norman County Raceway and River Cities Speedway. The weekend started out at Norman County Raceway with the only stop of the season after the first event in July was rained out. The night started out strong for Adams, but unfortunately during a caution-plagued heat, the No. 20A had made minor contact with another car, causing a flat right rear as well as shortage of fuel. After a late-race restart, he had to pull off early and was credited with a seventh-place finish.

On the 17-car grid, Adams lined up 14th for the 25-lap feature. Again, cautions plagued the main event, but Jordan used that to his advantage as he methodically moved himself into the fifth position, avoiding the carnage.

“We had a really strong run in Ada all around. In our heat, it was a marathon and we ended up running out of fuel while running in second place after starting sixth. That buried us for the feature but we were able to move through the field and take a trip across the scales which is always a good thing,” said Adams.

The following night the team made the familiar stop at River Cities. After being third quick during qualifying, Jordan started fifth in his heat and charged up to second.

With 17 cars checked in, Adams started eighth for the 25-lap feature. After dropping to the 11th spot early, Jordan meticulously began working his way forward. On lap 19, he gained two spots and restarted in seventh. On the last lap he was able to sneak by Bob Martin to take home a sixth place finishing spot.

“We have had some good races recently. We aren’t exactly where we need to be, but I definitely think we are headed in the right the direction.”

Adams and crew will be back at River Cities Speedway this Friday. Hot laps and qualifying are at 6:30pm followed by racing at 7pm.

Jordan and the entire 20A team would like to thank all of their partners for their continued support!
