Joey Pederson set to make first appearance at Jamestown Speedway since 2017 at Stock Car Stampede

EAST GRAND FORKS, Minn. (September 25, 2020) – The 2020 campaign for Joey Pederson Racing continues this weekend at one of the most prestigious events in the state of North Dakota – the 49th annual Stock Car Stampede at Jamestown Speedway. Pederson hasn’t competed at the high-banked quarter-mile oval since the 46th running of the event in 2017, where he picked up a respectable 14th place finish in the championship main event.

After an off weekend last week, Joey was most recently in action during the John Seitz Memorial where he picked up a top 10 finish against 50 of the best Late Model drivers in the upper Midwest.

Last weekend, Kelsi Pederson closed out the POWRi Lucas Oil Minn-Kota / NLSA Lightning Sprint season with a doubleheader and picked up a pair of runner-up finishes. On Friday night at River Cities Speedway, Kelsi quickly moved into second from the third starting position and set her sights on point leader, Dexter Dvergsten.

Dvergsten was quick early on, but Kelsi found her groove mid-race and began to reel him in. Late in the going, Kelsi pulled up to the rear bumper of Dvergsten, but just didn’t have enough to get by him for the lead. At the checkers, she had to settle for a second-place finish.

The following night, she made the trip to Devils Lake Speedway for the series’ season finale.

In the second round of heats, Kelsi scored the win to earn the second starting position for the main event. Alan Truscinski was in a class of his own, however, as he ran away with the feature win while Kelsi went on to finish second. Kelsi ended the season third in the point standings.

Tucker was also in action on Saturday night at Devils Lake. He had a strong run in his feature to pick up a second-place finish from the ninth starting position. The result was his second consecutive podium finish.

Tucker will be making his Stock Car Stampede debut this weekend. Since 2018, Tucker has made two starts at the speedway, one of which was a top-10 run in July of 2019.
