Schatz to kick off 2021 sprint car season at Arizona Speedway
SAN TAN VALLEY, Ariz. (January 22, 2021) – Donny Schatz will be debuting his all-new Carquest / Ford Performance No. 15 Sprint Car this weekend at the inaugural Wild Wing Shootout at Arizona Speedway.
Schatz is coming off six nights of action at Arizona Speedway where he collected one top 10 finish and made each main event without having to run a B-main against the country’s best Late Model competition.
Schatz has made four previous visits to the three-eights mile oval with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series, most recently in 2019. He has collected three top-five finishes including one feature win in 2018.
The Wild Wing Shootout is a three-race event, beginning tonight, January 22nd and continuing through Sunday, January 24th.
“This is a good opportunity for our team to go out, have some fun, and learn a little bit about our cars before the World of Outlaws season gets going at Volusia,” said Schatz. “This Carquest team – Scuba, Brad and Jake – have been working hard all offseason and I’m excited to strap into the car and see how we stack up right out of the gate.”
Schatz normally has a handful of Sprint Car races under his belt by this time in the year, however, he was unable to make the trip to Australia to compete down under for the first time in nearly 20 years.
All three nights of action from Arizona Speedway can be seen live on Floracing.com.
Schatz and the entire Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing team would like to thank all of their great partners for their continued support!
