A Week Of Rebounds For Mullen!

By Spieker Promotions

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (May 24, 2021) – The Mullen Motorsports team returned home last Friday night to the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, making a strong charge in his heat race to score another top 10 finish in the night’s main event.

After regrouping from a flip that ended their night early at Huset’s the previous Sunday, the Mullen Motorsports team was faced with a transponder issue that relegated Mullen to a 16th place finish in qualifying.

Having to score a top three in his heat race to get into the redraw and get his night back on track, Mullen did just that. The driver of the Native Nations No. 11M charged from eighth to sixth on lap two, from sixth to fourth on lap three, and finally to second on lap four.

Mullen redrew the fifth starting spot for the main event, but slipped back to as low as ninth in the first 10 circuits of the 25 lap feature.

Mullen rebounded, however, as he regained lost ground through a pair of restarts around the midway point of the race, moving back up to seventh with five to go.

After the final caution of the race with three laps left, Mullen made a pass on Tim Estenson and Blake Egeland to finish the race in the sixth spot.

The schedule for the Mullen Motorsports team and the upcoming four-race NOSA stretch will be hit and miss, as Brendan graduates from Grand Forks Red River High School on Sunday.
