REYNOLDS, N.D. (May 13, 2021) – The 2021 racing season is officially underway for the Jordan Adams Racing team. Adams kicked off his season last Friday night at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, turning in a top 10 run. This weekend, he will hit the road with the Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA Sprints for a three-race tour through southern Minnesota and South Dakota.
Starting 13th on the grid for the feature on Friday, Adams had his work cut out for him.
“Our opening night went decent overall. We qualified 5th and didn’t do much in the heat race so that hurt us for starting position in the feature,” he said. “At the end of the night we went forward. We had a good car in the beginning and through the middle of the race but as soon as it started turning slick our car just went away.”
Still, Adams gained positions in the feature and came away with an 8th place finish.
On Sunday, Adams made the trip to Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, S.D. for the season opener at the three-eighths mile oval.
The Home of Economy team battled all night long and, again, moved forward in the feature, finishing 18th from the 22nd starting spot.
“I hope we learned something for Huset’s this Sunday. It seems like we are either really good there or we have a way off night,” said Adams. “I’m looking forward to getting back there Sunday and turning a better result this week.”
NOSA’s big three-race weekend kicks off Friday at Jackson Motorplex in Jackson Minnesota for the $5,000-to-win Bull Haulers Brawl, presented by Folkens Brothers Trucking. On Saturday, the series heads west to I-90 Speedway in Hartford, S.D. before heading to Huset’s Speedway for a $3,000-to-win event on Sunday.
Both Jackson and I-90 will be the first-ever sanctioned races for the NOSA Sprints. NOSA hasn’t sanctioned an event at Huset’s since 2011.
