A Fourth Place Run At Return To Ogilvie Highlights Weekend For Grosz

By Spieker Promotions

HARWOOD, N.D. (June 23, 2021) – Lee Grosz and the familiar family 4J continued their 2021 campaign last weekend, scoring a fourth place run at the Ogilvie Raceway in his first race at the speedway since 2019.

Grosz started his night improving from fourth to third in the heat race, earning a spot in the feature redraw.

Starting seventh in the main event, he wasted no time moving forward, charging into the runner-up spot in just three laps.

Remaining second for the bulk of the race, Grosz had a shot at picking up another feature win, but came up short on an attempt to take the lead from Brooke Tatnell, finishing fourth.

“I felt like I had a shot at sneaking by (Tatnell) on the bottom. He went and slid himself, so I thought that was perfect to where I could maybe stick the bottom, and get a run off of two, but it ended up not working,” said Grosz of the green-white-checkered restart. “I felt like I could have run second, but you always have to go for the win I feel.”

Grosz started his weekend at Rapid Speedway in Rock Rapids, IA, a track where he charged from 11th to sixth earlier in the year.

Grosz started his night with a third place run in his heat race, and started ninth in the main event.

Grosz was running well inside the top five in the final circuits, when he slid off the top of the track, and rather than bring out a caution, ended his night just before the checkers.

Grosz is currently planning on returning to action on July 8th and 9th at River Cities Speedway for the ‘King of the Wings’ with the NOSA Sprints.

Lee and the entire team would like to thank all their sponsors for their continued support!
