Another Top 10 For Joey Pederson

EAST GRAND FORKS, Minn. (June 3, 2021) – Joey Pederson was in action last week at River Cities Speedway, the only race on a rare lightly scheduled week of racing for the Pederson family, furthering his top-10 streak to three-for-three early on in the 2021 campaign.
Joey started his night with a poor draw for the heat race starting deep in the field in the seventh position.
Joey moved up to the fifth spot on the opening circuit where he remained for the following three laps. Joey used a late restart to move past Troy Schill and Cole Babcock to finish second.
Joey started fourth in the 20-lap main event, and improved to the final spot on the podium as the only car inside the top five that consistently used the cushion of the quarter-mile Bullring to his advantage.
Following a lap eight caution, Joey was still on the high side going four-wide with Shane Edginton, Tom Corcoran, and Cole Schill in a battle for spots three through six.
Joey remained in and around the top five in the final dozen circuits, coming home in the sixth position, stretching his top-10 streak to start the 2021 season to three-for-three.
This week, the Pederson racing crew heads back to River Cities on Friday night, as the NLRA tour will co-headline with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series. On Saturday night, Kelsi will resume her chase for the Lucas Oil POWRi Minn-Kota Lightning Sprints title at Greenbush Race Park, while Tucker remains sidelined for at least one more week.
