GRAND FORKS, N.D. (June 2, 2021) – Fresno, California driver Dominic Scelzi will pilot the Buffalo Wild Wings No. 13 car this weekend as the World of Outlaws make their first trip of the season to North Dakota and Minnesota.
Scelzi will be competing Friday night at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks and Granite City Motor Park in Sauk Rapids, Minn. on Saturday.
“He’s a good driver and a fun guy to get along with outside of the track and at the track,” said Dobmeier. “I think he’s going to be a good fit for the team.”
Scelzi drove the Lunstra Motorsports No. 3 at the Huset’s Speedway season opener on May 16th. After battling mechanical issues early, Scelzi wheeled his way from 14th to second in the main event.
In his two most recent visits to River Cities Speedway, Scelzi scored an 11th place finish last year and a career-best ninth-place finish at the speedway in 2019. That 2019 result came from the 18th starting position and earned him the night’s Hard Charger award.
Mark is still eyeing a return to racing during the 2021 season. “Things are on track with the doctors and are looking good for getting back behind the wheel sometime this season,” he said.
Mark and Dominic will be at Buffalo Wild Wings in Grand Forks from 11:00am to 2:00pm on Friday. Come on out, say hi, and grab some lunch.
All-new 2021 Mark Dobmeier apparel is now available. The T-shirt trailer will be at Buffalo Wild Wings from 11:00am to 2:00pm on Friday. Apparel is also available online or at Laurie’s Pit Stop Shirt Shop at River Cities Speedway.
After a little hiccup a couple weeks ago, repairs are being made to the Buffalo Wild Wings No. 13 two-seater! Mark hopes to get it back out soon to give fans some more rides.
Dobmeier Racing thanks all of its sponsors for their continued support!
