Grosz Scores Top 10 Finish Against NOSA 410s

HARWOOD, N.D. (July 14, 2021) – Lee Grosz took the Grinch Service & Sales No. 4J north last week for two races with the Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA Sprints at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks for the inaugural Wayne Anderson Cup. After a DNF on the opening night, Grosz spent most of Friday’s race inside the top five, scoring his 10th top 10 of the 2021 campaign.
Grosz started his night on Thursday night at River Cities with the 12th quickest lap in time trials, and a third place run in his heat race.
Rolling off 10th in the first 30-lap race of the week, Grosz had moved up to ninth, but a flat tire on the 10th lap ended his night early.
Grosz came back for night number two at River Cities on Friday night with the 11th-best lap and a second-place run in his heat race, putting him in the redraw for the main event.
Grosz drew the two pill, putting him on the outside of the front row for the second 30-lap main event of the week.
Grosz was solidly inside the top five through the first half of the race. He continued to battle for the final spot inside the top five throughout the duration of the feature, coming home with a seventh place finish.
“It was an ok weekend,” Grosz said after his trip to Grand Forks. “We expected to do better, but we just kind of struggled all weekend. We were good early and kept getting worse as the feature went on.”
This weekend, Grosz will head to Jackson Motorplex on Friday night, then he’ll return to Knoxville Raceway on Saturday night.
Grosz is fresh off a win at Jackson Motorplex on June 11th. In his most recent trip to Knoxville, he recorded an eighth-place effort on June 5th.
