Mullen set for four-race weekend following three consecutive podium finishes

By Spieker Promotions

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (July 8, 2021) – Brendan Mullen raced the Native Nations Cannabis No. 11M to three podium finishes last week; two with the Buffalo Wild Wings Northern Outlaw Sprint Association (NOSA) Sprints and one with the MSTS 360s. This week he has four races on tap, all with the Northern Outlaws Sprints.

The action kicks off tonight as River Cities Speedway hosts night one of the inaugural Wayne Anderson Cup. Mullen will return to his home track on Friday for night two of the Anderson Cup before following the NOSA Sprints to Devils Lake Speedway on Saturday – the site of Mullen’s last win on June 5th.

On Sunday, the team will return to South Dakota to wrap up the weekend at Huset’s Speedway.

Mullen’s three podium finishes last week all came very quietly. On Wednesday night at Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo, the driver of the CL Linfoot / Auto Finance Super Center machine took advantage of a late-race restart to drive from fifth to third in the final six laps.

His best run of the weekend came on Friday night at River Cities, where he scored a second-place finish. Starting fifth, Mullen cracked the top three at the halfway point. With 10 to go, he made the move to take over second before the track took rubber and made passing a premium.

Mullen currently sits third in the NOSA standings, 47 points out of the lead.

Mullen capped off the weekend with a trip to I-90 Speedway in Hartford, S.D. on Saturday with a 360 under the hood.

After finishing second in his heat, Mullen raced to a third place finish in the feature. The result was his second straight third place effort in a 360.
