Strand looks to continue top-five streak tonight at River Cities!
PORTLAND, N.D. (July 8, 2021) – A pair of Late Model events are on tap this week at River Cities Speedway, starting tonight with an NLRA Tour race. Friday night will be a weekly WISSOTA Late Model show at the Bullring.
Last week, Jason scored his second consecutive top-five finish, racing from ninth to fourth in the 20-lap feature.
“Hopefully we can draw a little better this week and get a better starting spot earlier in the night. Last week was Midseason Track Championship night so lineups were straight up off points. I missed a couple nights in May at River Cities so that put us back in the field. Still, I was pretty happy to come away with a top five.”
Strand has been strong from the get-go in his Millenium SRT Late Model. Going back to June 5th, the driver of the North Dakota Corn Council No. E85 has collected six top 10 finishes in seven races.
“I didn’t really know what to expect at the start of the year. I just wanted to be consistent and keep the car straight. I’ve got a lot more confidence in the car now and I feel like any night could be our night to win,” said Strand.
