Mullen prepares for South Dakota swing!
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (August 27, 2021) – Following a crash on Friday night with the World of Outlaws at River Cities Speedway, Brendan Mullen and the No. 11M Native Nations Cannabis / Auto Finance Super Center team have re-built in preparation for another big stretch in South Dakota with the Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA Sprints.
Mullen ran three races with the World of Outlaws in the past week, at Red River Valley Speedway, Huset’s Speedway, and River Cities Speedway.
The week had its challenges, as the team battled mechanical woes at Red River Valley, and just missed out on a transfer spot Sunday at Huset’s.
Mullen had a strong run going on Wednesday night at River Cities, where he was running just outside the top ten at the halfway point. Contact on the backstretch, however, ended his chance at a first career Outlaw top ten, as Mullen went for a tumble off of turn three.
The team will rebuild for this weekend’s series with NOSA in South Dakota. The weekend was scheduled to begin tonight at Brown County Speedway in Aberdeen, however, rain has canceled the event.
On Saturday, the series returns to Casino Speedway in Watertown, SD. This will be the first time Mullen has raced at Casino since his rookie year in 2018.
The final race of the weekend will be at Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, SD, where Mullen is also in the top ten in the points standings at the track.
Mullen heads into the weekend just 18 points back of the NOSA points lead, currently held by his teammate Wade Nygaard.
