Dobmeier looks to end River Cities Speedway season with a win

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (September 17, 2021) – Tonight is the season finale at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks and Mark Dobmeier is looking to end the season at his home track the way he started it; with a win.
Dobmeier swept the weekend at River Cities Speedway on July 8th and 9th during his comeback weekend. Since then, Dobmeier has added three more podium finishes to his tally at the Bullring, including a second-place run last Friday night.
Last Friday’s feature got off to a rocky start for Dobmeier. He was involved in an opening lap tangle that forced him to restart at the tail of the field.
Dobmeier made quick work of much of the field, advancing from 17th to fifth in eight laps.
Dobmeier found himself inside the top three with five to go before he moved around Brendan Mullen to take over second.
Dobmeier looked to reel in leader Austin Pierce, but ran out of laps as he took the checkers in second.
On Saturday, the Buffalo Wild Wings team headed to Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin to compete with the IRA Sprints. After driving from fifth to third in his heat, Dobmeier lined up 11th on the grid for the feature. Again, Dobmeier was involved in an opening lap incident, this time it resulted in him getting upside down.
The resulting damage was too much to repair under the red flag so Dobmeier was credited with a 24th place finish.
Racing this Friday night kicks off at 7pm.
