Four-race weekend ahead for Nygaard!
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (September 3, 2021) – The final month of the 2021 season is now upon us, but the Auto Finance Super Center / Your Vision Construction No. 9N team is still going full steam ahead.
Wade Nygaard is set to kick off a four-race swing through three states starting tonight at his home track, River Cities Speedway, with the NOSA 410 Sprints. Nygaard will then wrap up the weekend with a 360 cubic inch Rider under the hood.
On Saturday, he will head to Jackson Motorplex for the Power Series Nationals with the MSTS and Midwest Power Series. That will be Nygaard’s first 360 event since April 3rd at I-80 Speedway.
On Sunday and Monday, Nygaard will be back at Huset’s Speedway as the Power Series Nationals continues at the Brandon, S.D. three-eighths mile oval. Monday’s finale boasts a $10,000 payday to the winner.
Nygaard was in action for just one night last weekend at Huset’s Speedway as rain canceled the other two scheduled events for the NOSA Sprints. It was a trying evening for the 9N team as they lost a motor in hot laps, forcing them to put a 360 in for the remainder of the night. In the feature, Nygaard was collected in an incident which resulted in him going for a hard tumble, destroying the car.
With Sunday’s event at Huset’s being a NOSA points paying event, Nygaard lost the NOSA points lead to his teammate Brendan Mullen as a result of Nygaard’s 19th place finish. Still, the 10-time NOSA champion is just a single point behind Mullen entering tonight’s event at River Cities.
