Red Cedar bound after a solid 2022 opener!

PORTLAND, N.D. (April 29, 2022) – Jason Strand and the E85 Racing have a big weekend of racing on tap! All weather pending, of course, Strand will be in action tonight at Red Cedar Speedway for a WISSOTA-sanctioned event before heading to Adams County Speedway in Corning, Iowa on Saturday and the exciting Stuart Speedway in Stuart, Iowa for a pair of Super Late Model Racing (SLMR) Series events.

For Strand, it’ll be a trio of brand new tracks he has never previously visited, but he is riding the momentum of a strong season opener last weekend at Park Jefferson Speedway in North Sioux City, South Dakota.

While it wasn’t the result the team was shooting for, Strand was fast all night long. After racing to a second place finish in his heat, the driver of the North Dakota Corn Council No. E85 started inside the second row for the 20 lap Tri-State Late Model Series main event.

Strand was racing for second when the car looped around on him, sending him to the tail of the field for the restart. Strand battled his way back up to eighth by the checkers to salvage a solid finish to start his 2022 season.

“The car was really good. I just wanted to get back into the car and knock some of the rust off and go race against some guys you don’t race against every week,” said Strand. “These early season races kind of give you the confidence that everything is working and that you’re not going to go out and fight the car when racing gets going locally. That allows you to just worry about your setup and get after it on the track.”

Tonight’s races will be broadcast on wissota.tv. Both SLMR events from Adams County and Stuart Speedway will be live on www.racexr.plus.
