PREVIEW: Pederson Racing’s summer grind continues this weekend!
EAST GRAND FORKS, Minn. (August 26, 2022) – The summer may be winding down, but the Pederson Racing crew is still full speed ahead. A potential total of five races may be on tap this weekend across all three cars in the stable.
Racign starts tonight at River Cities Speedway as Joey will be in action with the NLRA Late Models as they co-headline the night with the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars. There are no Street Stocks on the schedule this Friday night so Tucker has the night off.
On Saturday, the team will head east to Greenbush Race Park where both Tucker and Kelsi will compete in their respective classes.
If everything goes smoothly after Saturday night’s races, Joey and Kelsi may head down to Buffalo River Speedway in Glyndon, Minn. on Sunday, where the NLRA Late Models and Minn-Kota Lightning Sprints will be competing.
Tucker picked up some hardware again last weekend as he cruised to the Street Stock feature win at River Cities Speedway.
Tucker started third on the grid and moved into second right at the get-go. From there, he patiently waited for his chance to take the lead. At first, he looked low on Daniel Aberle before finding his groove in the middle of the speedway. Tucker got enough momentum to move around the outside of Aberle and lap four to take the point.
From there, it was smooth sailing as he raced to the checkers to claim his eighth win of the season and his second in-a-row at River Cities!
Joey started eighth in the Late Model feature and worked his way as high as fourth, but finished in sixth.
On Saturday, both Joey and Tucker raced at Devils Lake Speedway. Big money was up for grabs with $5,000 going to the night’s Late Model feature winner.
Joey drove from fifth to finish in the runner-up position by just under 1.5 seconds behind winner Michael Greseth. Tucker started and finished eighth in the Street Stock feature on a heavy racing surface.
