PODIUM FINISH FOR SENG AT RIVER CITIES
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (July 10, 2023) – With points battles heating up at the 2023 campaign’s midway point, Brad Seng was back in action last Friday night in the No. 12S S&S Transport / Forks Mobile Wash MB Custom at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks during Mid Season track championship night at the ‘Bullring’.
By leading the points coming into the night, Seng got to start on the pole of the first heat race of the night, which he won, earning him the pole position for the 20-lap main event.
Seng ran second on the opening lap as Dustin Strand led but lost third to Tyler Peterson on a lap two restart. From there, Seng remained close to the lead duo in the laps following the restart, which eventually saw the top three go nose-to-tail as they entered lapped traffic at the midway point.
Seng lost the lead pair in traffic as the laps clicked down on the scoreboard, but he was able to reel them back in during the closing laps. Seng took one last run at second in the final corner, missing getting back past Peterson for second by just a few inches.
Despite the strong run in the feature, Seng will return to the track in a couple weeks second in the point standings to Dustin Strand by just three points.
Seng will head with the rest of the Northern Late Model Racing Association to Brown County Speedway in Aberdeen, SD, as the series will be part of the track’s annual ‘Rumble’ event. Seng will head into the double header two points behind Strand for the series point lead.
