GRAND FORKS, N.D. (January 18, 2024) – Coming off of his busiest season yet, Brendan Mullen is set to return to the cockpit of the Native Nations Cannabis / Royal River Casino & Hotel No. 11M competing in 360 and 410 events across the sunshine state to kick off the 2024 campaign. Mullen will start his month down south competing at the half-mile Volusia Speedway Park in USCS 360 competition from January 25th-27th.
Mullen will follow the USCS series south to Hendry County Speedway in Clewiston, Florida for more 360 action before making the switch to 410 action where he will join the World of Outlaws back at Volusia from February 7th through the 10th.
The team will then head across the state to East Bay Raceway Park just south of Tampa to take part in the High Limit series events at the third-mile oval on February 12th and 13th. Mullen’s most recent appearance with High Limit saw him make the dash at Huset’s Speedway last August, though an early mx-up ended his successful night early.
Mullen’s month through the Sunshine State concludes at East Bay during the running of the Ronald Laney Memorial King of the 360’s from February 14th through 17th.
Mullen’s 2024 run through the southeast will be the third of his career following USCS appearances in Georgia in 2022, and All Star and King of the 360’s action at East Bay Raceway in each of the past two winters. Mullen also made a pair of World of Outlaw starts at Volusia Speedway Park last season before his six nights of action at East Bay.
Mullen entered 54 events during the 2023 season, a new career high, following 52 starts in 2023, and 53 in 2021. Mullen scored a pair of feature wins in 2023, with 16 top fives and 21 top tens. Along with Mullen’s wins at River Cities, he also finished on the podium against the Interstate Racing Association on two of three nights as the series traveled through the upper midwest.
Mullen, the 2021 Northern Outlaw Sprint Association series champion, finished third in the series standings in 2023, second in points at River Cities Speedway, and 11th at Huset’s Speedway in South Dakota.
