Mullen Completes Three-Week Tour Through the Sunshine State

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (February 20, 2024) – Brendan Mullen has completed his three-week tour through Florida which saw the 20-year-old compete in 12 races in the Native Nations Cannabis / 605 Lending No. 11M with the USCS, World of Outlaws, and High Limit Sprint Car series.

Following his pair of top ten results at Hendry County Speedway in Clewiston, Mullen and crew returned to Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville to open his 410 campaign with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car series.

Mullen’s results improved each night which showed on the fourth and final night at the tricky Volusia half-mile where Mullen found himself in competition for a transfer spot into the final main event of the weekend.

Mullen passed eventual transferee Danny Sams for the fourth and final transfer spot on a lap two restart but came up just a couple spots short of making his first main event at Volusia with the Greatest Show on Dirt.

After a Sunday off to make the trip across the state to Gibsonton, Mullen joined the High Limit series at East Bay Raceway Park where Mullen was set to compete for the next five consecutive nights.

Rain ended Monday’s program early, setting up an impromptu double-header on Tuesday at the soon-to-be shuttered third-mile oval. Mullen’s Tuesday at East Bay was highlighted by a C Main victory and a charge from 17th to 10th in the B Main for Tuesday’s scheduled show.

Mullen rounded out his Florida tour with two nights at East Bay for the final King of the 360’s event at the venue. Falling just short of an A Main transfer on night one, Mullen’s luck looked to be turning around as he drew the pole for the fifth heat race of night two.

However, Mullen’s weekend effectively came to an early end following mechanical gremlins early in the night. The crew has returned to North Dakota where they will now turn their focus on season openers in the midwest.
