Strand’s Early Season Efforts Stretch Into Third Month; Third State
PORTLAND, N.D. (February 28, 2024) – Jason Strand’s early season travels continue as he has hauled the North Dakota Corn Utilization Council / SRT Specialties No. E85 on another 1,600 mile trip from Central Arizona to Clarksville, TN to take part in the 20th Annual Tuckasee Toilet Bowl Classic at Clarksville Speedway for two more weekends of race action.
Heading into Tennessee, Strand is coming off a pair of podium finishes at Central Arizona Speedway which account for two of his five top tens scored in 14 race nights so far in 2024.
According to Dirtrackr, the busiest driver in the country heading into the weekend is Drake Troutman who has run 28 shows making Strand’s show count all the more impressive in what has been a busy start, once again, in the national Late Model scene.
The 20th Annual Tuckasee Toilet Bowl Classic at Clarksville Speedway runs under DIRTCar/UMP sanctioning and saw drivers like World of Outlaws regulars Tanner English, 2022 series champion Dennis Erb, Jr., and last year’s event winner Brian Shirley in attendance at last year’s event.
Strand’s most recent appearance against some of the biggest names in the sport saw him spend a majority of the final night of the Wild West Shootout at New Mexico’s Vado Speedway Park racing for position with former Outlaw champions Bobby Pierce and Brandon Sheppard. Strand finished between them in eighth that night.
Strand’s appearance in Tennessee has raised his overall miles traveled to just north of 3,400 as he is now in his third state and prepares to race at his third different track already in his 2024 campaign.
The Clarksville event kicks off this weekend, March 1st and 2nd, with a pair of features that will pay $2,500-to-win. The event will conclude the final pair of features on March 8th and 9th which boast a $10,000 winners share.
The races will be broadcast on Clarksville Speedway TV and Hunt the Front TV.
