Tucker Takes Over Greenbush Point Lead With Podium Finish

By Spieker Promotions

EAST GRAND FORKS, Minn. (August 19, 2020) – With four races remaining for the 2020 campaign at Greenbush Race Park, Tucker Pederson has taken over the point lead at the track, after a third-place run last Saturday night in his No. 27P Shawn Horn Crary Realty / Amy Dallum Photography Street Stock.
After all three of the Pederson racing drivers were rained out last Friday night at River Cities Speedway, the boys headed north to Greenbush for Saturday night’s race program.

Tucker started third in his heat race, which he eventually won. Combined with his high point average, that gave Tucker the seventh starting spot in the evening’s main event.

Tucker made his way into the top five for good on the sixth circuit and continued to climb. Battling Doug VanMill, once again, Tucker made it to fourth with nine laps complete.

With two laps remaining, Tucker made one last pass. Tucker moved up to third after passing Dave Meyer, whom he passed earlier for his heat win.

Tucker crossed under the checkered flag in the third spot, officially taking the point lead at Greenbush.

Next up was Joey, who brought the No. 7P Dahlstrom Motors / Vesey Plumbing Victory Late Model to Greenbush to compete with the Northern Late Model Racing Association.

Joey started fourth and finished third in his heat race, earning him the fifth starting spot for the main event.

Joey followed Brody Troftgruben past Tom Corcoran to move back into the top five early in the race.

Joey capitalized on some late-race restarts to move past Cole Schill for the fourth position, where he ended the race.

The rainout at River Cities, coupled with an off night for Lightning Sprints at Greenbush, meant another off week for Kelsi. Kelsi will head into the final eight events on the Minn-Kota schedule with the point lead in the No. 93 Northland Sheds  AdMonkeys.com Henchcraft by six markers over Dexter Dvergsten.

This week will be another busy one for the Pederson Racing stable, as Joey will race River Cities with the NLRA on Friday night, while Kelsi heads south to Red River Valley Speedway. Kelsi will join Tucker for another go at Greenbush on Saturday.

The entire Joey Pederson Racing team would like to thank all of their great sponsors for their continued support!
