Brad Seng Tallies Three Top Fives Over Memorial Day Weekend!
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (May 30, 2017) – The Brad Seng Racing crew hit the road this past weekend for their first out of town races of the 2017 season, but not before a quick trip to their home track, River Cities Speedway, on Friday night.
A big slide job for the lead in the early going of Brad’s heat race was the difference as Billy Mooney edged out Brad for the heat win to start the night.
The driver of the S&S Transport/MB Customs No. 12S then started the 20-lap feature in the seventh position. After dropping back early, Brad rallied to pick off three positions in four laps.
Brad rode in the sixth spot for several laps, before battling with Joey Pederson for fifth in the closing stages.
Seng and Pederson exchanged the position several times before Pederson suffered a mechanical failure on the final lap, which helped Brad secure the final spot in the top five.
Following Friday’s race, the team headed southeast to Viking Speedway in Alexandria, Minn. for the two-day Late Model double header.
Saturday night was the highlight of the weekend as Brad drove from eighth to second in his heat before advancing from seventh to third in the feature.
The Valley Oral / Schill Construction team returned to the “high flyin’ half-mile” Sunday evening for their third and final event of the weekend.
Once again, Brad made a big charge in his heat, moving from seventh to third, which placed him fourth on the starting grid for the A-main. When it was all said and done, Brad crossed the line in the fifth position, keeping his perfect streak of top fives intact to start the 2017 season.
