Mitch Mack gears up for two-race weekend at River Cities & Devils Lake!

EAST GRAND FORKS, Minn. (May 31, 2017) – Mitch Mack and the Joe Black’s team are gearing up for a big weekend of racing, which will begin Friday night at River Cities Speedway. On Saturday, they will head to Devils Lake Speedway for the first of four appearances in 2017 at the high-banked quarter mile.

Last Friday night, Mitch returned to River Cities Speedway, where he was looking to put his No. 92 machine back on the podium.

The night didn’t get off to the best of starts in the heat as a mechanical failure forced Mitch to the infield early.

“We started last place in the heat and got up to third. We were fast, but we had a fuel issue so I had to pull in,” he said.

As a result, Mitch started the feature in 20th.

“The motor was running really well. We started at the tail and we were just flying by guys,” said Mitch.

By lap 10, Mitch had nearly worked his way through half the field and rode in the 11th position. Unfortunately, mechanical gremlins slowed Mitch at the midpoint of the feature and brought his impressive run to an end.

Despite having a rough night last week, Mitch is looking forward to getting back on track for two events this weekend.

“I’ve never won at Devils Lake before, but I do really like that track. The past year or two, they’ve prepped that track really nice and it’s not too far away.”
