Grosz Collects Second Win of 2018; Hard Charger with NOSA Sprints

HARWOOD, N.D. (July 18, 2018) – Lee Grosz returned to victory lane Tuesday night at Rapid Speedway with the MSTS 360 Sprints. The win was his second of the season and propelled him back into the MSTS point lead. 

With the win, Grosz now holds a slim eight point lead atop the MSTS point standings heading into Friday’s event at Jackson Motorplex.

On Sunday, the Lee Grosz Racing team returned to action with the NOSA Sprints at Grosz’s home track, Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo. After finishing sixth in his heat, Grosz was mired back in the 17th starting spot for the A-main.

“I was disappointed with how the heat race went to start the night. My dad and I got to talking about what we should do for the feature… we ended up changing a few things around,” said Grosz. “The car worked real well. We had good drive, good traction. I could move around quite a bit.”

Grosz advanced 12 positions over the course of the 25-lap feature to earn a fifth place finish and the hard charger award against the 410 sprints.

Grosz was also in action last Thursday at Sioux Speedway in Sioux Center, Iowa with the MSTS 360s. Grosz came away with another top five finish after driving from sixth to fourth in the main event.

The Moyle powered J&J team will be back at Jackson Motorplex in Jackson, Minn. on Friday before heading to Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa for their final tuneup before the 360 Knoxville Nationals on Saturday.
