Top 10 Caps Off Impressive Weekend for Mullen

By Spieker Promotions

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (July 17, 2019) – A two-race weekend was on the schedule for Brendan Mullen and the Auto Finance Super Center No. 11M crew this past weekend. Brendan continues to show improvement each time he gets behind the wheel of his 410c.i. NOSA Sprint Car, and this past weekend was no different.

The 16 year-old second-year Sprint Car driver began his race weekend at River Cities Speedway finishing second in his heat, which put him on the pole for the feature, next to Mark Dobmeier. Mullen led the first three laps, exchanging the lead and slide-jobs with Dobmeier, until he threw it in too hard and slid off the top of turn three and brought out the caution.

Brendan was relegated to the rear of the field, but was able to charge his way back to 11th by lap 24. However, his night would end in the 14th position.

Still, Mullen turned heads by holding off River Cities Speedway’s all-time wins leader on not only the initial start but one restart as well.

Sunday, the Express Employment Professionals/Forks Finest team unloaded at Red River Valley Speedway to close out the Red River Valley Fair. Mullen finished fifth in his heat which lined him up 10th on the starting grid. Mullen crossed the checkers up three spots to finish seventh, just ahead of Thomas Kennedy and Friday night’s NOSA winner, Austin Pierce.

This weekend, Brendan will be making his first-ever visit to Jackson Motorplex on Friday with the Midwest Power Series. On Saturday, he will be making his I-90 Speedway debut with the MSTS 360s. The team will then gear up for the Governor’s Cup at Dacotah Speedway in Mandan, N.D. the following weekend.

Brendan and the entire Mullen Motorsports team would like to thank all their sponsors for their support!
