Mullen leads laps, finishes sixth at River Cities!
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (September 2, 2020) – It was another strong night for the C L Linfoot / Bergstrom Electric No. 11M team last Friday at River Cities Speedway with the NOSA Sprints. Brendan Mullen started on the front row of the feature, leading the opening laps before collecting his 15th top 10 finish of the season.
The night began with Mullen racing from sixth to fourth in his heat to earn a spot in the redraw. Redrawing the #1 pill, Mullen led the field of 21 cars to the green flag for the 25-lap feature.
The third-year Sprint Car pilot got the jump on fellow front-row starter Chris Ranten as the green flag flew and took the lead. Mullen led until Ranten took the point on lap three.
Mullen stayed strong all race long, running inside the top five until a late-race restart shuffled him back to sixth on the final lap.
The Auto Finance Super Center team is tentatively scheduled to return to River Cities Speedway this Friday night with the NOSA Sprints.
